不少朋友以為世界自然基金會(香港分會)主要以每月捐款作為籌款經費的唯一途徑, 其實該會曾經在2018年12月15日在港島區舉行賣旗籌款; 至於這次籌款所得的收益將應用在生態保育的工作。
Many people wonder the major income of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF, Hong Kong Branch) is heavily depended on monthly donations, but it has held its own Flag Day in the Hong Kong Island at December 15th, 2018. The fund raised from this Flag Day will be contributed to its projects in environmental and wildlife conservations.

至於世界自然基金會 (香港分會) 在是次賣旗籌款中使用的旗紙主要分為三款: 綠海龜、中華白海豚及珊瑚礁的照片被隱藏在該會的熊貓標誌裡; 至於是次賣旗籌款的「特別版金旗」則以該會旗下海下灣海洋生物中心為藍本, 並以在當地生活的鳥類及海洋生物等作為「金旗」的主角。
The sticker sets for the WWF Hong Kong’s Flag Day are mainly included three wild-life animals – green turtle, Chinese white dolphin and coral reef – which are hidden behind WWF Hong Kong’s Panda logo. While their “special edition" include several birds and marine creatures being seen in WWF Hong Kong’s Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park.
